OUR PURPOSE

We believe in delivering high-quality care and support, tailored to individual tenant needs and assessment based on principle of inclusion making each tenant actively involved in planning and decision-making thereby giving them control over their own lives.

Our staff are well equipped with essential skills relevant to the needs of our tenants in line with each individual care plan. The training provided is varied in line with the assessed needs of each tenant we support. New Dawn Initiative collaborates with Government approved training provider-The Assessment and Training Centre Limited (www.tatcl.co.uk) as part of investing in learning and development for our staff to enable good delivery and outstanding care as well as improve workforce competence and productivity. They have level 2 and 3 diplomas in Adult Care. New Dawn Initiative uses thorough recruitment procedures to ensure we employ competent candidates, personally interviewed by one of our trained consultants and thoroughly vetted to determine their skills and experience.

Staff are trained in Manual Handling, Emergency First Aid, Infection Control, Food Hygiene, Fire Safety, Health & Safety, administration of medication.

We constantly ensure staff are developed to their maximum potential which ensure they can undertake their role in a safe and proper conduct with minimal risks and provide good quality support to all the tenants. Staff are DBS checked.

Tenants as well are offered the opportunity to train to gain skills.

We work in accordance with current legislation with specific regards to the Health and Social Care – such as

  • Data Protection Act 2018
  • Equality Act 2010
  • Food Safety Act 1990
  • The Controlled Drugs (Supervision of Management of Management and Use) Regulations 2013
  • The Health and Social Care Act 2008((Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014 and (Amendment) regulations 2015
  • Supporting People Outcomes Framework.

We help to ensure that the people we support live in accommodation where they are protected from danger and where they can develop skills for daily living activities and maintain their autonomy while living in a shared accommodation.
